Bergland Township’s mission is to preserve, protect and enhance the natural beauty of our lakes, rivers and forests for future generations. The Township, through the democratic process, shall evaluate the needs of our citizens and businesses and shall provide cost effective services and economic development opportunities to the community.    Bergland Township is striving to become the jewel in nature’s crown.

Welcome to Bergland, gateway to the Western U.P. and Big Snow Country. We are located on beautiful Lake Gogebic, the largest inland lake in the U.P. and only 30 mile from the Porcupine Mountains on Lake Superior. Outdoor activities are plentiful in both the summer and the winter. There are miles of hiking, ATV and snowmobile trails for all seasons. If camping excites you the Bergland Township Park provides ready access to both the town and the lake. Further down the west shore are two county Parks and one State Park. Come and visit and enjoy the great out doors.

Simple sites. Beautiful views.

Set on Bergland Bay, the Bergland Township Campground offers 17 campsites, each with a southern view of the glistening waters of Lake Gogebic. Gorgeous sunrise and sunset views from this slice of paradise featuring sand beach, playground, showers and toilets. Great for tenting or RV’s.
